The 2017 Waterfowl Symposium will be on Saturday February 4, 2017. We are in a new location this year. We will be holding the Symposium at the MPLS Airport Marriott in Bloomington. This hotel is just east of the old Thunderbird. Easy to find and great topics will be discussed. We are hoping that you will be able to join us. We start with the first presentation at 9:00a.m. and should wrap up around 4:00p.m.
This year we will have presentations on Engaging folks in local conservation issues, a presentation on the Experimental Teal Season in the production states, we will be highlighting the Roseau River WMA, also talking about grazing, importance of upland cover and marsh bird response to habitat management. We will also be discussing the MN Crane project, late goldeneye hunting and a session on the history of hunting regulations, and as always Commissioner Tom Landwehr will close out the session.
We will post an agenda when we get it finalized.
We hope to see you there, and remember it is free to attend, so bring your hunting buddies and anyone who would like to learn about waterfowl issues and habitats!
