Minnesota Waterfowl Association

 MWA’s PASS IT ON campaign provides a vehicle for corporations, businesses and individuals to help preserve Minnesota’s waterfowling heritage, and PASS IT ON to the next generation of waterfowl hunters and conservationists.  We are losing hunters, especially young hunters, at an alarming rate.  Woodie Camp and the Young Waterfowlers Program mentor youth in the art of waterfowling.  Minnesota Waterfowl Association (MWA) would like to expand these programs to expose more kids to the outdoors.  Funding for habitat projects in Minnesota is needed at an increasing rate as land prices soar and farmers plant marginal land to take advantage of high commodity prices.  MWA will use PASS IT ON to help carry out its mission which includes youth education and on the ground habitat projects.

Speaking of Habitat Projects, did you know that the MWA has done $900,000 in Conservation Partners Legacy Grants (CPL) in the last three years? That is not to mention all the local habitat projects that our chapters have done in their areas. All said, a tremendous amount of habitat is being acquired, restored or enhanced thanks to our members and supporters. This is also a great example of how we "Pass it on".
