1) Describe yourself:
Avid outdoorsman and self employed chiropractor, husband and father. Proud owner of two outstanding yellow labs Kouba & Gauge who are treasures to hunt behind. Chapter president of MWA - Shetek Prairie Chapter. Enjoyed being brought up as a farm kid and learning about the outdoors and passing it onto my nephews, nieces and son.
2) What is your favorite kind of music?
I can listen to about anything but mostly find myself with country on.
3) What is your favorite movie?
Anything with action....Star Wars, James Bond type stuff.
4) Married? Kids?
My lovely bride Denise. Son Barrett age 5 who looks good in camo and is pretty good at shooting pop cans!
5) How old were you when you first went hunting, and who took you?
I can remember taggin along deer hunting every November with my dad and brother at a pretty young age. Was early high school days before I really got into waterfowl with a couple buddies.
6) What are some hobbies?
Collecting wildlife prints, decoys and hunting memorabilia. Putting in food plots, using trail cameras, scouting, riding ATV, watching sports, boating/skiing. Entertaining my 5 year olf son.
7) Where were you born, and what city do you live in now?
Born and raised on the family farm by Windom, MN. Still enjoy hunting dad's farm pond every duck opener. Currently reside on our acreage near Walnut Grove, MN.
8) What is your favorite kind of duck?
I have a wood duck and bull canvasback on the wall but really any drae within shooting range is a thrill to harvest and watch my dogs retrieve.
9) Where is your favorite vacation destination?
Aruba, Caymen Islands, St. Thomas, Bahamas.....if there is a beach and some snorkeling I'm good.
10) If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive) who would they be, and why?
Larry Bird (Boston Celtics) - I enjoyed his skill on the court and he made a big impression on me when I was a young man. Basketball is still my favorite sport to play.
Wildlife artist Les Kouba - was one of the first artists I started collecting and sounds like he was a big influence for many other artists including my other favorite James Meger.
My four grandparents - never met my one grandfather and the others all passed when I wasa fairly young. I would truly enjoy their stories of old around a home cooked meal.

Married to Stephanie, we have four (4) kids, Sam 18, Katerina 14, and twins, Chase and Mackenzie 11.
5) How old were you when you first went hunting, and who took you?
I think I was 14, and I went with two of my uncles, as my Dad didn't hunt.
6) What are some hobbies?
Spending time with family, riding my motorcycle, fishing, hunting, sports, (football, baseball and hockey) and playing my guitar.

I was born in Minneapolis and we live in Maple Grove.

Widgeon - also known as the baldpate!
9) Where is your favorite vacation destination?
Our family cabin or duck hunting in Great Bend, Kansas
10) If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive) who would they be, and why?
John Wayne - Because he's my favorite actor and seemed very interesting.
Aldo Leopold - Because he's brilliant, wasn't affraid of failing and he stands the test of time.
Hank Williams Jr. - Because he's my favorite musician, and I think a great song writer, and great story teller.

Married to Laura, one dependent, Katie the dog, age 11 who is an English Pointer/Blue tick mix.
5) How old were you when you first went hunting, and who took you?
8 or 9 when I got to walk along duck & pheasant hunting with my Dad. Shot my first Canada goose at age 11 near the Horicon NWR in southeast Wisconsin. First deer at age 13 and first turkey at age 31.
6) What are some hobbies?
I’m a collector (wife says I’m a packrat) of hunting collectibles – duck decoys, duck and turkey calls, books. I’ll try to make some decoys and turkey calls to hunt with each year. Love to read mysteries and suspense novels. Summer time I garden vegetables and perennials.
7) Where were you born, and what city do you live in now?
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, was a Packer fan until I moved to Minnesota. Currently live in Minnetonka, MN.
8) What is your favorite duck?
I have two favorites, Wood Ducks, which I can watch the house in the yard, and the Canvasback – The king of the ducks.
9) Where is your favorite vacation destination?
Lake Superior North shore and Prairie Canada in late October.
10) If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive) who would they be, and why?
Gordon MacQuarrie (Outdoor writer) – Would like to get to know the Old Duck Hunters Association on a personnel level.
Aldo Leopold –Would like to take in the teachings and understanding of this great conservationist.
Vince Flynn (Writer) – I want to know how real his stories.

There’s not much I don’t like, but I’ll say classic rock.

Married to Maggy and we have one 3 month old boy named August.
5) How old were you when you first went hunting, and who took you?
I would hunt squirrels, starlings, and sparrows when I was 8 or so with my daisy red rider bb gun and my brothers.
6) What are some hobbies?
I play amateur baseball in the summers. Waterfowl and Bow hunting in the fall. Ice fishing in the winter. I just started making wine and I’d like to get back into decoy carving.
7) Where were you born, and what city do you live in now?
I was born in New York Mills, grew up in Perham, and now live in Detroit Lakes.
8) What is your favorite duck?
That’s easy, it’s the ringbill.
9) Where is your favorite vacation destination?
I really enjoyed a summer fishing trip to Alaska a few years ago.
10) If you could have dinner with any three people (dead or alive) who would they be, and why?
Babe Ruth – Because he was the Great Bambino and I was fascinated with him when I was young.
Meriwether Lewis – I’d love to hear a firsthand account of the exploration across the prairie to the Pacific Northwest.
Thomas Jefferson – I’ve always been interested in early American history, and I think Jefferson was the most interesting figure of that time.
