 October 20 - 22, 2011 marked the dates of the first ever Advanced Woodie Camp. The camp was designed to give kids, ages 14 - 17, a unique opportunity to experience an actual "duck camp". At this camp, the kids participated in shooting sporting clays, scouted hunting locations, duck hunting over water, goose hunting in a field as well as pheasant hunting, not to mention incredible food and lodging! The camp was held at Viking Valley Hunt Club near Ashby, MN. 

With the feedback and comments from the kids and parents and mentors, you can bet that we will be doing this again for years to come. Many of the kids (if not all) said that this was the single best time they have ever had. I'm not just saying that, we have a Facebook page for Woodie Camp, please go there and see for your self!! 

9 kids participated this year, but we are hopeful to expand this to 12 in the future. We will be posting an application process in the spring 2012. The kids that participate in this Advanced Woodie Camp must have gone to Woodie Camp at least 1 year proir, so the kids that will be eligible next year, must have attended Woodie Camp in 2009, 2010, or 2011, if they are within the age limits of 14 - 17.
